User profile for user: Peter Mars Peter Mars. First of all, the software for this cam is written for PC only, but the camera will operate pretty well without it. You will need to upgrade to OS X All the cool features like snapshots, auto-focus, face tracking, etc I contacted Logitech about the auto-focus not working and they told me that the Pro has internal hardware that requires software control. I have found the focus to not be a problem as almost everything is in focus anyway.

This cam is very sharp, very high resolution and auto-exposure and color balance seem to work great. Hope this helps, Pete. Reply Helpful Thread reply - more options Link to this Post. I've tried everything even deleting the camcamx5. I can't get the skype font to change, it changes for the typing box but it doesn't change. Are iChat and Skype compatible? Some of my family uses Skype, and I have yet to set up my iChat.

I installed Skype on my new macbook 13" 2. However, I've had a problem and I just don't know how to fix it! You know when you download an application, it comes onto your desktop and you're supposed to drag the Icon into the Applications file? Well, my Skype won't do that.

It will drag into it, but then it says it already exists. Thus, I still have that ugly icon on my desktop instead of the regular one. I've tried to eject and reinstall, but nothing works. My mother then got a web cam for her PC and all of her friends use skype, so she refuses to download AIM and wants me to download skype. Anyway, just wanteed to make sure there wasn't anything I should be concerned about with skype - a co-worker of mine said he used skype and it was great.

It'd be nice to change some of the visual aspects of the main Skype client - it's a bit unsightly atm. On skype, can : me, my mum, and my dad all be on the video chat at once? If it cant what program will let me do this?

And to let you know that I have just gone back to Skype 2. Basically, every time I tried to call or chat to anyone, Skype 2. I found a link to download the previous version. I am using Skype 2. I couldn't see any place where I can export the contacts list so that if at any other point, I can import them back if needed.

If Apple script is there to achieve this, its much better to maintain it. I have just become the latest victim of a Skype account hack the usual thing - they change your password and email so you can't get back in, and then use up your SkypeOut credit , and I've lost about 10 euros of credit. What worries me more, though, is the fact that my account was hacked despite only being used on a Mac. Any ideas as to how this might have happened?

I know that malware isn't usually a concern with Macs, but is it conceivable that I have something nasty running in the background? If I have, I have no idea where I might have got it from. I downloaded skype and then deleted it because I did not like it. I drug it to the trash, but I then searched for it in finder to make sure it was gone and an alias comes up and says alias can not open because original cannot be found.

How to get rid of this alias??? If I hit delete alias it just keeps coming back up to hit again and again?? I downloaded the Skype application but it saved as a volume on my MacBook. I can't delete it - all I can do is eject but would like to get rid of Skype all together. I just started a video chat on Skype and my MacBook fans started going and are now really loud.

Just checked my processes and it said this: Fans are currently at rpm but are now much quieter than when I started writing this. I think the latest 'full-screen' Skype for Windows 4. I can't stand having all my chats cluttered over my desktop. Now I just can't wait until they bring the same user interface to Mac. Does anyone have any idea on when the full-screen version of Skype will be available for Mac?

So it's basically broadcasting the sound from my computer. How can I stop it?
