If ICQ account is disabled and jabber account is enabled crash doesn't happen. I use Russian version of Windows 7 Ultimate with latest upgrades. As I said, I've used offline installer of pidgin in both cases: on my computer and on virtual mashine. Please follow the instructions to get a debug log and attach it to this ticket. I don't know whether it's the same crash but reports this for Ubuntu. I forgot to notice, that i use Windows 7 bit.

Try running pidgin as an administrator. The next version will have a fix so this works properly on Windows 7 without workarounds.
