D-link dph-50u vista driver

Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Best Regards. Mlachake Poweruser Level 3 Member Posts: Sorry, there are no drivers for 64 bits OS.

Infact, there will be no drivers for the DPHU. I have the same issue with 64 bit vista I will love to post them if they were available, but as you know it is with a reason that we will not have 64bit OS drivers for the DPHU. I understand the need given the current rapid changing technology, but it is simply not possible to have this drivers given the current state of the device.

If you are not planning on or unable to release a 64bit driver for the DPHU, will there be a new model which is compatible with Windows 7 64bit? Given the popularity of the device, it seems odd to just abandon sales D-Link will not abandon supporting the device albeit in the current state. I have no word yet if there any plans for a new product. You will be the first to know through this forum if there is any new device in the pipeline. The DPHU allows you to accept both regular telephone and Skype calls from the same phone giving you added flexibility.

When you are talking to someone on your regular telephone line and receive an incoming Skype call, you can easily switch lines to take the Skype call or vice versa, just like a regular call-waiting feature. You can also do a conference call between regular telephone and Skype lines. Remote Calling Features. The DPHU can be configured to forward incoming Skype calls to another destination such as your cell phone so that you never miss a call while you are away.

This product is great but a headache with win7 Never got it to work with win7 Windows xp works great but the included drivers are a little buggy you might get dropped calls so I followed some online advice and installed some US-robotic drivers and havent had a problem since.

I had some real trouble installing the software correctly on my Vista machine. Despite what i tried, i could not get the D-Link software to recognize that the device was connected. After Fresh install, i decided to try again. This time it worked. Once up and running, everything works great no hard line connected , easy enough to dial out, calls are clear, answering machine works fine.

Only complaint is the computer needs to be logged in to work. There are work arounds to get Skype and the D-link to run as a service in the background, so you don't need to login to the computer before it works. Overall, if you would like a landline around house, but is not to be used as an emergency line, then this is a great money saver.

I got this to try the concept. It installs easily enough. No problems there but there is one issue. To use your phone to call a Skype contact you must set attach a speed-dial number to that contact. HOWEVER, current versions of the Skype software do not have provisions for assigning a speed-dial and Skype will not allow you to run the version of Skype that comes with this device. You must upgrade to a version of Skype that only half works with this device.
